About me:
Born in Illinois and raised in a small country town in Louisiana, I attended and graduated fro, and later enlisted in the United States Navy. After 24 years of service, I retired as a Chief Petty Officer. While on active duty, I attended Fort Hays State University in Kansas and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling and Implied Psychology.
I’m a woman of many titles, a christian, widow, mother, godmother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, veteran, entrepreneur, and “Sur-Thrivor.”
In 2011 I began modeling under the name, Mz Solid Gold with GMS, and formed a sister bond with other fellow models in the group.
A two-time breast cancer survivor, in 2018 I found a new purpose. I refocussed my life around assisting others, and founded the We Walk by Faith Doyle-Gilchrist Cancer Foundation.
A proud mother of two. My son is an active duty Naval Aviator, and my daughter and grandson reside in San Diego, California. I now call Murrieta, California home.
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with passion, compassion, humor, and style.
